1965. Ian Guild and Michael Stone (leading) during the first ascent of Thunder Crack at Mt Arapiles. It was graded A3 Mild Severe back in those days. The aid was gradually whittled away over the years until Henry Barber led it free with just one nut runner ten years later in March 1975.
